"The driver messaged and said that he was outside the house, but the car wasn't there. I rang him and said we couldn't see him. It turned out that he was a couple of hundred yards down the road, as his sat. nav. told him he had arrived and he couldn't see the house numbers. I said that maybe he needed a torch to find the correct house and he said that he didn't do that kind of thing. It caused a delay of several minutes, but the journey was fine and we arrived in good time. We gave him a cash tip."

"I booked 2 taxis a couple of weeks ago to take us to and from a wedding yesterday. On Thursday night (16th April) I was checking my booking and saw that I had been emailed a cancellation notice : Your Taxicode journey has been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience you have experienced during the use of Taxicode. If you wish to contact us with any queries or comments please do so at internal@taxicode.com. Booking TC023D75D7105 has been cancelled. Customer has been emailed confirmation. If the customer paid with a credit/debit card they have been refunded. I presumed this was for both journeys I had booked as it was not clear, and made other arrangements. There was also a rebook link sent to me but as it had been sent the previous day the time sensitive link did not work. At 15.47pm yesterday a driver rang me to say he was 'on his way', as he had another job to do, possibly another 10-15 minutes which would have been late for us anyway as we had booked for 15.40 in order to get to the wedding on time. I advised him that I was told our journey had been cancelled so he did not continue. Today I have received a refund of £41.25. I am unhappy with the poor service - the cancellation should not have been just by email, and should have been much clearer about what had actually been cancelled, and I would be grateful for a full refund ie another £41.25. Also concerned that the original taxi booked would not have been on time. The alternative taxis I used actually cost £58, which is way cheaper than your quote, so I would not recommend your service"

The driver called me at 4.30, the time he was supposed to arrive, to ask me for an alternative route to my house as there was a road closed. I didn't know where he was so he sent me a screen shot, which wasn't really helpful. I told him I didn't know how to help so he said he'd follow the diversion, arriving around 5am. Luckily I'd built some contingency time in and the roads were clear so we got to the airport in time. When we arrived at Heathrow he asked where he should go to drop me off, which again, I didn't know. At one point in the journey he swerved hard enough that both myself and my passenger exclaimed aloud; I don't know exactly why as he offered no explanation or reassurance. The whole thing felt very unprofessional for an airport service, and he was clearly under prepared. In addition, and I don't know how to phrase this more delicately, he had a rather pungent, unpleasant body odour that was less than ideal in a confined space for 2 hours. As I said, I've used your service before and had nothing but positive experiences, so wanted to ensure I fed the negative experience back so that you can act on that accordingly. "

The vehicle did start again, but we were on tender hooks as to whether we would make it at all to the airport. All in all not a great way to start a holiday."
